The name

Ayo is a real place. I grew up beside it.

It's a stone field in the middle of Aruba — boulders marked by the Caquetío a thousand years ago, carvings still legible today.

That's the standard behind the name: build the thing that's still standing when you come back to it.

In practice, that means caring about the parts that don't show up in a launch demo — architecture, tests, the deployment story — because that's what makes software last.
